Spintronics Act Two: Continue Natalia's time-winding adventure and help her build more advanced spintronic circuits for the town of Little Hope. This Act Two kit begins where Act One leaves off. New parts including transistors and inductors open a vast frontier of new possibilities. The puzzles also grow more challenging, with 82 more puzzles ranging from intermediate to advanced.

Spintronics is a new game (ages 8 to adult) from the makers of Turing Tumble where players build mechanical circuits to solve puzzles. Players feel the pull of voltage and see the flow of current as they discover electronics in a tangible and deeply intuitive way, using the first physical equivalent of electronics ever built. Really adds to the first game. My children enjoy building from it. My son’s only complaint is the requirement to snap the chains together hurt his fingers.

Great addition to the base game. Base game is educational and fun.

An excellent game for children and adults

We received the Spintronics kit for Christmas. We love the game's multidisciplinary nature, with its construction, mechanics, and electronics aspects, all set against a backdrop of stimulating and educational challenges. The game allows for great progression and promises excellent family time combining mechanics, logic, and hands-on experience (areas in which children are generally better than adults!).
We also had an excellent experience with customer service, which efficiently helped us with our questions and requests.

Impressive

Very well thought out. I was looking for something to introduce my 5 yo son to electronics. While he’s still a bit young to understand all the concepts, he enjoys building and figuring out the puzzles. It keeps him off screens for awhile, in any case. Looking forward to act 2.

Battery breaks easily

I was very excited to get this toy for my son since he is really in to circuitry and electronics. After one day of playing, the battery was broken. The company sent a replacement but the same thing happened. It seems they have some work to do on improving the battery. If not for this issue, its a great toy and would be good for a tinkerer. He enjoyed it while it lasted. For the price, I expected better.

My original spintronics battery had a manufacturing issue, so I reached out to see if Upper Story would send me a replacement.
