Spintronics Power Pack

To be honest, I haven’t had a chance to sit down and play with my kids with this one. Extra resistors and an extra battery. He seems to get the concept of chaining two of them together and seeing the extra power they have.

I’ll dig through the booklet one of these days but I think he might have figured it out himself.

Gave it to my 8 year old grandson for Christmas, he loved it!

We bought Spintronics Act One and Two for our grandsons aged 9 and 12. They are having fun trying everything out in the set and I expect them to keep on discovering new ways to use it for years to come

My teacher's college students are huge fans of Turing Tumble (every time I use it in my coding mini-course, students end up putting a game on their gift lists), so I wanted to check out Spintronics. Circuit learning ties in really well to our learning about circuits as part of robotics. The story is engaging, and students often find themselves calling a friend in to join them or needing to try "just one more". You can't ask for better than something that makes students want to share what they are learning. The pieces are solidly made, and students hugely benefit from being able to physically "see" what's happening as the energy moves in a circuit. Fun, engaging and TONS of learning - what's not to like?

We ordered the Spintronics Act One for Christmas for our 9 year old grandson. Despite the postal strike it arrived well before Christmas. Our nine year old loves it and so does his 12 year old brother. They liked it so much we offered to get them Act two. It is a high quality product and certainly worth the cost.

Got this for Christmas.
My 9 and 11 year old kids and I have had alot of fun going through the book and trying different ways to do many of the challenges.
I was a little surprised and disappointed to see the pieces are all plastic.To me they looked metal in the pictures on the website.
They do seem pretty tough so far.
We will see how they wear over time.
Overall im pretty happy with the purchase.

J’ai acheté le jeu en anglais parce qu’il n’y avait plus la version française de disponible avant quelques mois. Surprise ! Le 23 décembre, nous recevons un colis avec la version francophone. Le service est simplement impeccable. Le jeu est d’une superbe qualité!!!! Mon fils est dans le TSA et a 12 ans. Il adore jouer avec. C’est un superbe jeu pour jouer entre enfants et adultes.

My son has spent countless hours with this since receiving this as a gift. He absolutely loves it. The ideas to build electric circuits through mechanical processes are fantastic. Would have loved to have had this toy as a kid myself. Given my own professional background and education, I have to say that the ingenuity of the product is remarkable.
